Property Tax Exemption for Veterans with Disabilities

Large property tax reduction (income-based)

Washington's property tax exemption program helps veterans with an 80%+ service-connected rating (or paid at the 100% rate) who meet an income threshold. Importantly, VA disability compensation is excluded when calculating your income for eligibility.

Washington Tuition Waiver

Tuition & fees waived at public colleges (vets & dependents)

Washington public community colleges and universities waive all or part of tuition and fees for eligible veterans and National Guard members, and waive ALL undergraduate tuition and fees for eligible dependents of totally-disabled or deceased veterans (up to 200 quarter credits).

Lifetime Disabled Veteran Parks Pass

Free day-use, camping, moorage & boat launch

Washington residents who are veterans with a 30% or greater service-connected disability can get a free Lifetime Disabled Veteran Pass — free day-use parking (no Discover Pass needed), boat launch, trailer dump, and free camping or moorage at state parks.

Reduced-Fee Hunting & Fishing Licenses (Disabled Vets)

Reduced-fee hunting & fishing licenses

The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife offers reduced-fee licenses to resident veterans with a 30% or greater service-connected disability (and to resident veterans 65+ with any service-connected disability), under RCW 77.32.480.
