Connecticut fully exempts from property tax the primary residence a veteran with a 100% permanent & total service-connected disability owns and lives in — or, if the veteran doesn't own a home, one motor vehicle kept in the state. Additional exemptions exist for lower-income and disabled veterans.

Public College Tuition Waiver

Tuition-free at UConn, CSU & community colleges

Connecticut waives tuition for qualified veterans at the University of Connecticut, the Connecticut State Universities, and the 12 community-technical colleges, for credit-bearing undergraduate and graduate programs. Books, fees, parking, and room/board are not waived.

50% off (10%+ disabled); free if you've lost a limb

Connecticut charges a resident veteran with a 10%+ VA service-connected disability half price for a sport fishing license, and issues a free fishing or hunting license to a resident who has lost, or permanently lost the use of, one or more limbs (permits and stamps not included).
