Tennessee provides property tax relief to veterans with a 100% permanent & total service-connected disability (and certain others, including former POWs), calculated on up to $175,000 of the home's market value. A qualifying surviving spouse may keep it.

Tennessee issues a sport fishing and hunting license for a one-time $10 fee to residents who are 100% permanently & totally disabled from a service-connected cause, or who are 30% or more disabled by reason of service in a war.

Free Disabled Veteran Plate & Wheel-Tax Exemption

Free DV plate; no county wheel tax

Veterans rated 100% permanent and total, or former POWs, may qualify for a free Disabled Veteran license plate for one vehicle and an exemption from the county motor vehicle privilege (wheel) tax.
