Hunt without a permit (60%+ disabled or former POW)
An honorably discharged veteran with a service-related disability of 60% or greater, or who was a POW, may hunt most wildlife (except black bears, deer, elk, and turkeys) without a Missouri permit, carrying a certified VA statement of eligibility. MDC also waives fishing permit fees for various disabled-veteran programs.

Combat veterans pay just $50 per credit hour
Missouri's Returning Heroes Act caps tuition at Missouri public colleges and universities at $50 per credit hour for eligible combat veterans, as long as they maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Eligibility runs for 10 years after the veteran's last discharge.
