Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption
Extra $2,500–$4,500 exempt, or fully exempt at 100%
On top of Louisiana's homestead exemption, a veteran with a 50%+ service-connected rating gets more assessed value exempted: 50–69% → an extra $2,500; 70–99% → an extra $4,500; and 100% → fully exempt from ad valorem property tax (except certain municipal assessments).

Louisiana's Title 29 program provides an in-state tuition exemption (educational assistance) for children, spouses, and surviving spouses of veterans who meet the service and disability requirements, at Louisiana public colleges and universities.

Disabled-veteran / 100% DAV specialty plates
Louisiana veterans with a 50%-or-higher disability may qualify for a disabled-veterans or military-honors license plate, and a veteran rated 100% can qualify for the 100% DAV plate.

Louisiana state and city civil service award a 5-point hiring preference to honorably discharged veterans and 10 points to service-connected disabled veterans, added to passing civil-service exam scores in new-hire situations.
