Reduces property tax by up to $1,320 (no income limit)

Idaho reduces property tax by as much as $1,320 for veterans with a 100% service-connected disability (or 100% via individual unemployability) — with no income limit. Veterans rated 10%+ (or on a VA pension) may instead qualify for the income-based Circuit Breaker program.

Disabled American Veteran (DAV) Hunt/Fish License

$5 DAV license + deeply reduced-fee tags

Idaho's $5 DAV license lets a resident veteran with a 40%+ service-connected disability buy reduced-fee DAV tags — deer $10.75, elk $16.50, bear $6.75, turkey $10.75. Reduced fees are also available to nonresident disabled veterans.

Idaho grants veterans' preference on state hiring — 5 points for eligible veterans, and 10 points for those with a 30% or greater service-connected disability, who are also granted an interview if among the top 25 qualified applicants.
