Yellow Ribbon Program

Covers tuition above the GI Bill cap at participating private and out-of-state schools. No extra cost to the veteran.

Who qualifies: Veterans, Active duty, National Guard.

The Yellow Ribbon Program is an agreement between the VA and participating private/out-of-state schools to cover tuition costs that exceed the Post-9/11 GI Bill cap.

• The school contributes a portion, VA matches it
• Can cover 100% of remaining tuition at participating schools
• School determines which programs/students participate
• Check VA's school comparison tool to see if your school participates

Only available to veterans (and eligible dependents) using Post-9/11 GI Bill at 100% eligibility tier.
