Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)

Up to 36 months of full tuition + BAH stipend + $1,000/year book allowance. Transferable to dependents.

Who qualifies: Active duty, Veterans, National Guard.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill is the most generous education benefit available:

• Up to 36 months of benefits (4 academic years)
• Covers full in-state tuition at public schools
• Covers up to the national cap at private/foreign schools
• Monthly BAH stipend (based on E-5 with dependents rate for your school's ZIP code)
• $1,000/year book and supply stipend
• Transfer to spouse or children possible after 6 years of service with 4-year commitment

⚠️ As of Jan 1, 2026: Monthly enrollment verification is required to continue receiving housing allowance payments.

Eligibility based on active duty service after Sept. 10, 2001.
