Post-9/11 GI Bill-equivalent education benefit for children and spouses of service members who died in the line of duty after Sept. 10, 2001.

Who qualifies: Survivors & family members.

The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship provides Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits to:

• Children and surviving spouses of service members who died in the line of duty after September 10, 2001

Benefits equivalent to Post-9/11 GI Bill:
• Full tuition at public in-state schools
• Housing allowance
• Book stipend
• Up to 36 months of benefits

Spouses: benefits end if they remarry before age 57 (rules updated in recent years – verify current status at VA.gov).
