Purdue Global Military Discount
Up to 55% per-credit tuition reduction for service members; ~38% for veterans
Purdue Global, the online public university in the Purdue University system, offers some of the deepest military tuition reductions in the country. Active duty service members receive roughly a 55% per-credit reduction on undergraduate programs (about $165 per quarter-credit hour), and veterans receive roughly 38% off (about $230 per quarter-credit hour). Graduate tuition is reduced 17–30% for service members and ~14% for veterans.
Course materials are provided at no additional cost. Purdue Global participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program to cover Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) tuition above the annual VA cap, and awards generous credit for military training and prior coursework (ACE-evaluated JST credit).
Programs are fully online with multiple start dates per year, designed for working adults and deployable service members.
How to redeem
- Visit purdueglobal.edu/military and request information or call the dedicated military admissions team.
- Provide your military ID, DD-214, or Tuition Assistance documentation to apply your reduced per-credit rate.

- Coordinate Tuition Assistance or Post-9/11 GI Bill (and Yellow Ribbon, if needed) with your military advisor before your first term.
Tips
- Active duty get the deepest cut (~55% off undergrad) — if you're still serving, enroll before you separate to lock in the higher reduction.
- Course materials are free at Purdue Global — factor that savings in when comparing against other online schools.
- Request a free credit evaluation of your JST first; transferring 30–60 military/ACE credits can shave a year or more off your degree.
