MyCAA Scholarship (DoD) Military Discount
Up to $4,000 in tuition assistance for military spouses
My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) provides up to $4,000 in tuition funding for military spouses of active duty service members in pay grades E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-2. Covers certificate, associate, and bachelor degree programs at accredited schools.
How to redeem
- Go to mycaa.militaryonesource.mil and create your account.
- Complete the required career assessment (about 30 min) — mandatory before accessing funds.
- Find an accredited school and confirm the program is MyCAA-approved.
- Submit your education plan and get approval BEFORE your course starts — funds cannot be applied retroactively.
- Your school invoices MyCAA directly. You pay nothing out of pocket for tuition and fees up to the $2,000/semester cap.
Tips
- Stack MyCAA with your school's own military scholarship — many schools offer additional grants on top.
- Use the free SECO career coaching at spouseworks.militaryonesource.mil for resume help and job search tools.
- MyCAA does NOT cover books or housing — use a separate scholarship or GI Bill book stipend for those costs.
