Coursera partners with DoD and VA to provide free access to hundreds of professional certificates for transitioning service members and veterans. Includes Google IT Support, IBM Data Science, Meta Front-End Developer, and university-level courses.
How to redeem
- Check with your installation Education Center or VSO for DoD/VA-funded Coursera access.
- For Google certificates: apply for a scholarship at grow.google/certificates — covers 100% of cost.
- Enroll in your chosen certificate program and complete all modules, quizzes, and graded projects.
- Budget 3–6 months at 10 hours/week for most certificates.
