Housebound Benefit (VA Pension Add-On)
Additional monthly VA Pension for veterans who are substantially confined to their home due to permanent disability.
Who qualifies: Veterans.
The Housebound benefit is a VA Pension add-on for veterans who are substantially confined to their immediate premises due to permanent disability:
**2026 Rate:**
• Adds approximately $356/month to the base VA Pension
• Cannot receive both Housebound and Aid & Attendance simultaneously (VA pays whichever is higher)
**Eligibility:**
• Must have a single permanent disability rated 100% AND
• An additional disability rated 60%+ OR
• Be permanently housebound due to disability
• Must meet VA Pension eligibility criteria
