What they do
Religious affairs specialists support unit chaplains and the free exercise of religion for service members of every faith. They coordinate services and programs, safeguard confidential counseling, manage religious facilities and supplies, and provide security and administrative support to the chaplain in garrison and the field. (Chaplains themselves are commissioned officers who enter with a seminary degree and endorsement.)
